Hạ Long cruises

Ambassador Hạ Long: a day cruise or an evening dinner cruise?

Choose a day cruise for caves and islands or a dinner cruise for food and city lights. Check the itinerary, extras and booking details for the right programme.

For caves, islands and bay views in daylight, choose Ambassador Day Cruise. If your daytime plans are ashore and you want dinner, music and city lights, consider Ambassador Dinner Cruise. The experiences do not replace one another.

Day cruise: allow time for the stops

The operator's Vietnamese itinerary updated in October 2026 lists check-in from 09:00–09:45 at the Ambassador lounge on the ground floor of Hạ Long International Cruise Port's terminal in Bãi Cháy Ward. The route visits Sửng Sốt, Hang Luồn and Ti Tốp, includes lunch and afternoon tea, and expects to return at 16:30–16:45.

Kayaking or bamboo boating at Hang Luồn carries an additional charge; do not assume it is included. This option suits visitors who prioritise bay sightseeing and can devote most of the day. Bring comfortable walking shoes, a hat and drinking water, and avoid appointments close to the expected return.

Dinner cruise: dining, music and city views

Ambassador Dinner Cruise sails along the near-shore bay, focusing on the city and Bãi Cháy Bridge at night. Both language versions of the operator's website list check-in starting at 17:40 at Hạ Long International Cruise Port and dinner from 18:30, followed by lighting, live music and a DJ.

This suits visitors seeking a relaxed evening after a day ashore. If you expect to visit Sửng Sốt, Hang Luồn and Ti Tốp, do not confuse the programmes because both use the Ambassador name. Dinner is not a nighttime version of that three-stop sightseeing route.

Confirm the exact programme before booking

Specify day or dinner cruise, departure date and desired services. Ask separately about transport to the port, drinks, surcharges and schedule-change terms. For dinner, also ask about performance seating, extra charges for dining on the sundeck and return time. Do not assume a performance-viewing seat is included.

When checked on 24 October 2026, the operator's English and Vietnamese pages gave different dinner-cruise end times. This article therefore does not fix a return time or promise fireworks every night. The operator currently advertises these programmes, but this is not confirmation of availability on a specific date. Sailing schedules, stops and performances may change; reconfirm your departure.

For a day cruise, also consider the summit or the beach on Ti Tốp.
